November 7, 1989 <br /> <br /> The regula~ meeting of the Mooresville Town Council was held <br />November 7, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. at Mooresville Town Ha~l. <br /> <br /> Council members present were Dick Heald, Pat 0verholser, Jack <br />Forbes and Steve Edwards. No Council members were absent. <br /> <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilman <br />Forbes to vacate Mathew Street. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Krueger, 17 W. Washington Street, advised the Council iJ <br />that there is a serious drainage problem in the east-west alley be- <br />tween Main Street and Washington Street. Mr. Krueger showed the council <br />pictures of the water which drains on his property from this alley. <br />The Council advised Town Engineer W~am Abbott and Street Super- <br />intendent Joe Beikman to assess the problem and come back to the <br />council at the next meeting with a recommendation for this problem. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to appoint Greg Staum to the Mooresville Planning Commission <br />as the Town Employee appointment to fill the unexpired term of War~en <br />Framktin. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> The Council discussed the possibility of selling a parcel of land <br />from the cemetery to Jack McGuire for access to h~ warehouse. Town <br />Attorney Tim Currens will research the property to verify ownership before <br />a decision is made on this matter. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilwoman Overhol~er and second by Councilman <br />Heald to approve the Assignment of Contract for H~l Crest Subdivision. <br />Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve the fo~owing additional appropriations: i~ <br /> Federal Revenue Sha~ing <br /> I-I 13 Personnel $8,000.00 <br /> Park Department <br /> Misc. Revenue 4-322 Park Imp. 80,574.62 <br /> <br />Motion Carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Heald and second by Councilwoman <br />Overholser to approve the request of Mr. & Mrs. Don Mansfield to install <br />a storm drain on town right-of-way in front of their property on North <br />Indiana St. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Motion was made by Councilman Forbes and second by Councilman Heald <br />to accept ~n agreement with Kenny Berwick stating that the town will make <br />payment of $19,552.64 owed to Mr. Berwick for compensation of ove~tim for <br />the period he was a firefighter. This payment will be amde after January I, <br />1990 and before January 31, 1990.
