.567 <br />Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Pygman to approve <br />advertising for an additional appropriation from the General Fund for $8,500.00. This <br />money was received in the sale of the Police Chief's car to Decatur Central. Motion <br />carried 4-0. <br />President Warthen told the council a resident had asked that the alley between High and <br />South Street be put back the way it was before the wastewater lines were completed. <br />Street Commissioner Joe Beikman got a cost of $1800 (estimate) to put gravel on the <br />alley. Motion was made by Commissioner Pygman to put base and gravel in the alley <br />running east from the T to Redekers property. No second was forthcoming so the motion <br />died Councilman Mathis wants Joe Beikman to look at signage for the alley. Motion <br />was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to table this item until <br />thenext meeting. Motion carried 4-0. -- <br />Legal: Attorney Tim Currens had received an addendum to the original monitoring well <br />agreement with Arcadis for an additional two monitoring wells requested by IDEM for <br />Arcadis. Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to <br />approve the addendum. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Fire Dept: Fire Chief Les Farmer told the council bid sheets were compiled by a Rescue <br />Committiee for a Rescue Unit and they would probably receive four to six bids on this <br />equipment. Motion was made by Councilman Dolen, second by Councilman Mathis to <br />approve advertising for these bids. Motion carried 4-0. Legal Counsel will need to <br />review and approve this matter. <br />President Warthen said there were two pieces of equipment that needed to be gotten rid <br />of and he wants permission to talk to the department heads about a public auction. <br />Council was in agreement. <br />Bids for Wastewater work in Marley Woods were as follows: <br />English $136,575.00 bid was for one less manhole and using some I <br />Used parts. <br />Swinney Bros. 139,790.00 <br />Mason's Exc. 182,735.00 <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve the <br />Swinney Bros. Bid due to the fact the low bid was using used parts and for one less <br />manhole than needed. Motion carried 4-0. If staking of easements is required this would <br />be at the Town's expense. <br />Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported twenty -eight (28) calls, eleven (11) <br />impounds, and seven (7) returns. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br />payment of the claims.
