I <br />As a replacement for Glenn Barron, who had resigned last month, on the Redevelopment <br />Commission Board, Town Council President Tom Warthen appointed Jim Ransome. <br />Councilman Mathis announced that he and Councilman Pygman had a meeting scheduled <br />with HNTB for Thursday, November 7, 2002, to discuss the sewer expansion. <br />Animal Control Officer, Mark Taylor, reported twenty -four (24) calls, ten (10) impounds, <br />and five (5) returned. <br />EDC Director Helen Humes reported the Woods Industries building (which was recently <br />vacated) was to be listed with a realtor by the end of the week. She said the building was <br />a 24,000 square foot building and they were actively trying to recruit someone for the <br />building. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Clark, second by Councilman Pygman to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried 4-0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 4 -0. <br />ATTEST: <br />Sandra R. Perry, Clerk- Treasurer <br />Tom Wartheb, President <br />November 8, 2002 <br />The Mooresville Town Council met in a special session on Friday, November 8, 2002, at <br />12:00 Noon at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Town council members present were: President Tom Warthen, Andy Pygman, John L. <br />Clark, Toby Dolen, and Mark Mathis. No council members were absent. President Tom <br />Warthen gave the invocation. <br />Minutes of the November 5, 2002 meeting were not available for signing. <br />President Tom Warthen opened the Fire Rescue Truck bids: <br />Amtech Emergency Products: <br />American- LeFrance <br />Emergency Vehicles Inc. <br />$174,060.00 <br />$178,350.00 <br />With $4.700 rebated after delivery <br />Or an up front discount of $4,000 <br />at contract signing <br />$168,800.00 <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to take the bids <br />under advisement and let Les and his committee have time to check each specification to <br />see if each bid followed the specification sheet and the council will award bid at the <br />November 19, 2002 meeting of the Mooresville Town Council. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />571 <br />
