`575 <br />Animal Control Officer Mark Taylor reported sixteen (16) calls, five (5) impounds, and <br />three (3) returns. <br />Councilman Dolen brought up the fact that the State had changed the 77 Fire and Police <br />Pension Fund. When Town of Mooresville went into the fund the buy back was for 20 <br />years, now the buyback is 23 years and the police and fire can retire at age 52. The <br />consensus of the Town Council is to seek options for an additional buyback. <br />January 7, 2003 meeting will be the date for opening of bids for the roof project on the <br />old Methodist Church. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Dolen to approve <br />payment of the claims. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />The council presented Town council member Andy Pygman a plaque for his eight years <br />of service to the Town of Mooresville. Mr. Pygman had chosen not to run for re- election <br />in 2002. Troy Bryant will take his place on the Council for 2003 thru 2006. <br />There being no further business to come before the council at this time, a motion was <br />made by Councilman Pygman, second by Councilman Dolen to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />The next meeting of the Mooresville Town Council will be Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at <br />6:30, at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Tom Warth , President <br />ATTEST: <br />Sandra R. M. at the Mooresville Town Hall. <br />Council members present were: Tom Warthen, John L. Clark, Toby Dolen, Troy Bryant, <br />and Mark Mathis. No members were absent. Town attorney Tim Currens was present. <br />Jim Taylor from the Grace Missionary Church gave the invocation. <br />Motion was made b y Commissioner Clark, second by Commissionerpolei to approve <br />the minutes of the December 17, 2002 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />Reorganization: Motion was made by Commissioner Clark, second by Commissioner <br />Warthen to nominate Toby Dolen for Town Council President. Motion carried 4 -0. <br />Roof Bids: Street Superintendent Joe Beikman told the council that three prints of the <br />roof was picked up, but as of the meeting no bids had been turned in to the council. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Mathis, second by Councilman Clark to continue the <br />bids to the next meeting, January 21, 2003, and to keep the bids open. Motion carried 5- <br />0. <br />
